Mazarine Energy was founded by Edward van Kersbergen in 2013, when Edward was presented with an opportunity to obtain a permit to search and drill for oil in Tunisia. Immediately all the necessary wheels were put in motion, and from that moment onward, Mazarine Energy was a reality. After shooting 3D seismic and drilling two successful discoveries during 2015 in Tunisia, Mazarine Energy started Oil and Gas production in 2017 and carried on with its exploration program throughout 2018. In 2017 19 fields were acquired from OMV Petrom in Romania and in 2018 an additional 9 fields were transferred to Mazarine Energy.
