Meniscus is the company behind the IPMS business intelligence platform which is used to achieve our mission of helping companies to Optimize the Performance of Process Plan
Meniscus was set up in 1997 with the objective of helping companies maximise the value from their data that they already collect.
Experience had shown that companies spent lots of money collecting data but then didn´t know what to do with it and how to use it to improve the performance of the assets monitored and reduce costs and this is still true today!
The first Calculation Engine was developed in 2000 and focused mainly on the processing of daily information with user uploading data to the website through hand help Psion Workabout units. Even in 2000, all aspects of the Calculation Engine were web based and all hosted on our own servers.
In 2007 after winning an ANUBIS competition, the Calculation Engine was upgraded with a real time calculation ability. In 2010 it was completely rebuilt using C# and delivering a much more powerful, more flexible and more robust solution. It is still totally web bases and even easier to use following the development of the RESTful API.
We continue to invest heavily in the core product and continue to develop new and improved dashboard solutions to us achieve our Mission and to make it easier for companies to manage the data they collect and to deliver improved performance with lower costs.
