We’re also the largest direct-ship farm-to-market grain procurement company in the Midwest.

OUR FARMERS

We know trust is earned—never given. Since the merger in 1996 that created Mid-Iowa Cooperative, we’ve experienced 650% growth, putting us into the top 10% of all Iowa cooperatives in terms of sales and profitability.  For more than 75 years, generations of farmers have counted on Mid-Iowa Cooperative, which is rooted in Iowa agriculture. As a farmer-owned, full-service cooperative, we offer you solutions from row-crop management and marketing to feed and fuel.

The members of our staff are professionals in their field who can provide you with in-depth, reliable consulting support for each area of your business. We have six licensed commodity brokers and six licensed crop insurance agents on staff, with more than 70 years of combined experience. Transporting grain to market is key to helping you gain the most profit potential from your crop. Whether you need an extra “hired hand” to haul your grain to town or ship grain directly to the processor, Mid-Iowa Cooperative has the resources to find a home for your crop at a competitive price.  Safe, efficient grain transportation is key at Mid-Iowa Cooperative. We maintain strong relationships with more than 20 grain processors throughout Iowa to help you find the best bid and haul available any time of the year  Why market your grain through Mid-Iowa? We employ a fleet of first-class, qualified drivers and vehicles to transport your grain to market safely and efficiently. Mid-Iowa has approximately 25 company semi-trucks, plus we work with up to 40 owner-operators to ensure we have the capacity to meet your grain transport needs.
