Since 2007, the adoption of Natural Gas as a commercial vehicle fuel has continued to increase. Its use in refuse trucks and transit buses has proven that the engine technology is robust. And, in spite of incremental vehicle cost, the return on investment and emissions reductions compared to diesel have proven a compelling business case in these two commercial vehicle applications.  The OEM’s expanded offering of engines and truck platforms has been key to the adoption of Natural Gas in fleet operations beyond the two mentioned previously. Fleets that have successfully deployed Natural Gas vehicles have seen fuel-related operating cost reductions of 35% or more. Integrated fuel management

Every Momentum system includes a fuel management module which fully integrates with Geotab and other compatible telematics platforms, allowing fleet managers to monitor their fuel usage and better manage their fuel consumption.  Momentum’s FMM, which houses the electronics, fuel filter and fuel-fill receptacles, features custom bolt-on brackets to match most existing bolt holes.  And it was designed to easily integrate with other systems as a direct replacement for less-efficient FMMs on the market for heavy- and medium-duty vehicles.  This drop-in option is valuable to customers who need to replace their FMM and want a new system designed with performance, serviceability and durability in mind.

We Also Built In Safeguards To Increase Driver Confidence and Reduce Range Anxiety

Our system features a pressure regulator which allows fuel utilization at a significantly lower PSI than many alternative systems. This lower operating pressure provides increased range compared to similar capacity systems. Our 150 DGE Back of Cab system features a range equivalent to most 160 DGE systems. The pressure regulator reduces leak points and weight, and its high-capacity filter is larger than most competitive products and designed for higher service intervals.  Our temperature-compensated fuel-level system reflects accurate gas and pressure levels so drivers won’t feel the need to make continual fuel top-offs on the road. The Electronic Control Module (ECM) converts the tank readings through the Fuel Level Interface Module (FLIM) and outputs the signal to your factory-installed fuel gauge.
