COMPANY HISTORY
Morley and Associates, Inc. was founded in 1976 by James Q. Morley, Danny K. Leek, Lee A McClellan and Stephen Murray in Evansville, IN. This combination of experienced civil engineers and land surveyors quickly gained a reputation for quality work, attention to detail and practical as well as economical solutions for both private and municipal clients. The company experienced steady growth in the Evansville regional market. In several recent years over 60% of all subdivision lots platted in Vanderburgh and Warrick counties were surveyed and designed by Morley and Associates, Inc.
In addition to the core competencies in land development and utilities Morley and Associates, Inc. has added architecture, hydraulic modeling, flood plain mapping, environmental permitting, wetland mitigation, traffic engineering, railroad design, construction management and financial consulting as major areas of expertise.
The home office of Morley and Associates, Inc. was located in downtown Evansville, IN until 2005 when the company moved into its newly constructed office building at Interstate Office Park along I-164 on the eastside of Evansville.
Morley and Associates, Inc. has cultivated a very stable work force by hiring the best talent and encourages their growth through broad training options, encouraging and rewarding registration, exposure to new opportunities, and guidance from experienced staff members. Although Stephen Murray left the company in 1978 to return to his home area, the three other founders of the company are still full time employees of the company today.
For over 35 years, Morley and Associates, Inc. has been continuously engaged in the private practice of professional engineering, architecture, surveying and related technical services.
