We are an oil, gas, and mineral rights landholder with over 15,000 acres in seven counties of West Virginia consisting of Doddridge, Harrison, Ritchie, Tyler, Wetzel, Lewis and Wirt counties. Established in February 2016 with approximately 112 active wells Morris Mountaineer Oil and Gas, LLC is continually looking for additional opportunities to lease or sell various interests. 

Morris Mountaineer Oil and Gas, LLC is a closely held company  managed by an executive committee consisting of three shareholders who serve on a rotating term. Per the Operating Agreement, all major decisions are put before the shareholders for a vote. Due to our small size and our strong desire to maximize and capitalize on all investment opportunities, Morris Mountaineer Oil and Gas, LLC quickly renders decisions and enters into contractual ventures that provide immediate access to our mineral and gas holdings. Morris Mountaineer Oil and Gas, LLC is the very proactive asset manager of the oil and gas as well as natural resource.  A meticulous process is followed to proper identify each identical asset and the exact ownership interests going back as far as possible in the land records and chain of title as well as all relative document reviews and assessment such as leases, etc. Typically problems are found and needing to be resolved ranging from unpaid tax tickets to ownership percentage disputes to miss allocation of lease payment and several other asset impact issues that must be resolved. 

The next critical step in the proper asset management of these specialty assets is contract / lease administration and aggressive marketing / asset development. Morris mountaineer’s Asset Management includes mapping and observing the asset using the last technology of satellite imaging and drone aircraft to monitor the activity at the asset.  The assets under management by Morris mountaineer where traditionally management by national Bank trust departments. Years of bank consolidation have reduced the dedicated focus on oil and gas as well as natural resources.  A significant void was created by the banks exit from the oil and gas asset management and Morris Mountaineer is fully and exceeding that need for oil and gas asset management.  Morris Mountaineer works closely with many of the key banks in West Virginia, Ohio and Pennsylvania.
