Careers with Musket

Musket embraces the family values for which our parent company, Loves Travel Stops, is so well known. Whether you are working on the trading floor or at a terminal asset, all Musket employees contribute to the big picture. Such responsibility is a tall order that few can answer, but its all in a days work for the Musket team. If you have the drive, integrity and innovation, Musket is the place to build your career.

Biodiesel & Renewable Diesel

Musket is committed to providing alternative renewable fuel to our customers while making a positive impact through innovation.  Biodiesel is clean-burning alternative renewable fuel that is made from animal fats, vegetable oils, or recycled restaurant grease for use in diesel vehicles or any equipment that operates on diesel fuel. The resulting product is similar to petroleum diesel and can be blended with diesel up to 20%, which is proven to be a safer substitute for the environment, aids in energy security and improves engine lubricity. Also, regulated fleets using biodiesel blends of 20% (B20) or higher qualify for biodiesel fuel use credits under the Energy Policy Act of 1992.  Renewable diesel is made from the same feedstocks as biodiesel and, therefore, has the same environmental and energy security benefits. However, the resulting product is chemically identical to petroleum diesel and can be used as a complete substitute to petroleum diesel, rather than as a blend.

Crude

Musket Crude Trucks  Musket entered the crude oil space as a pioneer of the crude by rail movement in the Bakken Shale play during 2008, dedicated to moving crude oil across North America. We continue to utilize our experience in crude oil trading and logistics, while leveraging long-standing relationships with numerous operations throughout the lower 48 states and expanding our state-of-the-art terminal and trucking network. Musket trades and markets crude oil in the PADD I, II, and III regions, specializes in supplies to refineries on the gulf coast and also buys direct from various producers. Utilizing our assets, we add value to the supply chain in order to provide the best possible market solutions with flexibility to our customers.  We are committed as a trusted partner and listen to our customers needs to continuously offer the best crude oil capabilities and solutions. Musket provides increased capacity, reduced costs, and access to markets needing to move all grades of crude, coupled with efficient and safe facilities.

DEF Solutions

Our mission is to offer a reliable bulk wholesale DEF rack position to meet our customers growing demand  Since 2010, diesel engine manufacturers have relied on Selective Catalytic Reduction technology (SCR) to reduce nitrous oxide emissions from exhaust gases in response to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agencys (EPA) Clean Air Act. SCR technology injects DEF, which is composed of 32.5% automotive grade urea and 67.5% de-ionized water, into hot exhaust gas to convert poisonous gases into nitrogen and water.  Musket began producing Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) in 2014 to address increasing market demand, supply redundancy concerns, and logistical optimization opportunities. Today, Musket operates 14 DEF production terminals across the United States with many additional markets scheduled to open in 2018/2019. Our mission is to offer a reliable bulk wholesale DEF rack position to meet our customers growing demand in conjunction with reducing empty mileage driven to source this product. We understand the markets need for a quality DEF supplier with a flexible 24/7/365 operation, stable supply, product integrity and overall competitiveness. Musket DEF terminals utilize best in class QA/QC procedures, producing highest quality product meeting API and ISO 22241 standards.
