History

NexTier was born of the shale revolution. C&J Energy Services was founded as a one-truck pumping operation in Robstown, Texas, in 1997. Keane, which was founded over a decade later, became a part of a private equity investment portfolio, operating only in the Marcellus area.  Both organizations grew to become respected and diversified completion and production services companies in the North American onshore oilfield services industry. In October 2019, the merger of these two leaders created NexTier, the third-largest provider of US land completions.

The system contains well-defined standards and established performance indicators. The QMS is built to incorporate customer KPIs, enabled by our partnership model. We adjust our operating model to fit that of our customers, not the other way around. Every employee has a responsibility within their role to ensure a culture of quality and integrity, which is reinforced by the QMS.
