The Gill Ranch Storage Facility is owned jointly by Gill Ranch Storage LLC (75% ownership), a wholly owned subsidiary of NW Natural, and Pacific Gas and Electric Company (25% ownership), a subsidiary of PG&E Corporation.
NW Natural Company, dba NW Natural, based in Portland, Oregon, provides safe, reliable, cost-effective natural gas service to more than 700,000 residential, commercial, and industrial customers through 15,000 miles of mains and service lines in western Oregon and southwestern Washington. Since 1989, the company has operated its 16 Bcf Mist underground storage field to serve its utility customers and the regional interstate storage market.
NW Natural has received praise from regulators for its environmental practices, most recently during construction of a 60-mile high-pressure transmission pipeline traversing the Portland metropolitan area.
In addition, the company has an excellent record of pipeline, public and employee safety. All facility construction meets or exceeds state and federal safety regulations.
