About Company

Organic Power Solutions (OPS) is a well-capitalized American-based company that brings more than 11 years of pyrolytic experience to the waste-to-energy sector. OPS is led by a team of knowledgeable entrepreneurs, scientists, and engineers. OPS engineers have experience in industrial design, construction, and project maintenance.

OPS researches and develops waste-to-energy technology, building systems unlike any other in existence. Mass amounts of carbon-based and biomass waste converts into electricity and high-value coproducts for renewable energy and agricultural remediation.

Core strengths

  • Well-capitalized pyrolysis company with 11 years experience
  • More than $100 million bonding capacity
  • Approximately 700,000 man-hours of labor
  • Renewable energy projects in the United States, Asia, South America, and Africa.
  • OSHA 10 and 30-hour safety certifications
  • National Society of Professional Engineers
  • Mechanical engineering
  • Structural engineering
  • Chemical engineering
  • Process engineering
  • Environmental and safety audits

OPS negotiates feedstock and power purchase agreements to accept waste from clients and then returns coproducts or revenue generated from the sale of coproducts to the provider.

OPS builds commercial-scale facilities and systems that convert waste into energy. OPS has developed several proprietary technologies that recycle 99 percent of carbon-based and biomass feedstock into valuable renewable electricity, diesel, and a carbon negative char that provides positive effects for the environment. OPS pyrolytic systems feature benefits that other waste-to- energy companies do not provide. Until recently, Pyrolytic Thermal Conversion technology has primarily been used in batch feed systems, limiting its useful capacity; however, for the past decade, the technical team at OPS has performed anaerobic thermal conversion research and development via the construction of full-sized pilot units to better develop this science. OPS is now manufacturing self-sustainable, multi-stage pyrolysis units at scale.

APPLICATIONS

Instead of landfilling, incinerating, or gasifying industrial waste streams, implementation of the OPS process for a waste-to-energy facility will produce clean, renewable energy. OPS systems process virtually any carbon-based waste material. OPS has tested hundreds of feedstock, characterizing co-product outputs and economic and environ- mental value of each. Some of these feedstock include:

Waste stream feedstocks

  • Municipal solid waste
  • Medical waste
  • Automobile shredder residue
  • Algae
  • Carpet
  • Diapers
  • Plastic bags
  • Poultry litter
  • PVS plastic
  • Railroad ties
  • Sewage sludge
  • Shingles
  • Swine manure
  • Tires
  • Wood chips

The resulting output of the OPS system is a combination of char, gas, and oil products. The physical and chemical properties of the feed material are important factors in the resulting value and usefulness of the degradation coproduct yields from the thermal decomposition of organic matter. As an example, municipal solid waste from Accra, Ghana may output different energy values than municipal solid waste from Carthage, Missouri.

The optimal co-product configuration and uses are determined on a case-by-case basis. That is, some clients might find it most desirable to use the electricity in- house, while others might choose to sell off the electricity for energy credits. OPS pyrolysis systems can also be self-sustained with energy produced from the PTC process. Select feedstock yield enough gaseous or liquid fuel supply to power the generation equipment while returning exhaust heat necessary to efficiently assist the pyrolysis process.

TECHNOLOGY

OPS pyrolytic systems are American-made, factory built, and factory tested with scalable designs, modular engineering, and continuous feed systems to suit any capacity need. A single pyrolysis system can process up to 8 tons of waste per hour. Engineers at OPS provide all aspects of design, production, and installation. OPS Pyrolytic Thermal Conversion systems contain several patented features such as: a multi-stage design, horizontal flights along the augers, combusted gas blanketing, and off-gas scrubbing.
