As a result of the Gebze Natural Gas Distribution License Tender made by the Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EMRA) on September 11, 2003, PALGAZ DOÄžALGAZ DAÄžITIM SAN. VE TÄ°C. A.Åž (PALGAZ) natural gas distribution license was approved, and on February 10, 2004, a license was granted to conduct natural gas distribution activities in the distribution region consisting of the cities of Gebze, Darıca, Dilovası and Çayırova for a period of 30 years. 

90% of PALGAZ shares belong to PALMET Energy Group, while 10% is allocated to municipalities located in the distribution region as per the legislation. PALMET Group of Companies, which has been operating since 1984, stepped into the energy sector with the natural gas line works started throughout Turkey in the 90s; With the establishment of the Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EMRA) in 2001, PALGAZ and PALEN companies, which won the Natural Gas Distribution License Tenders for the cities of Gebze and Erzurum, officially became one of the first investors in the energy sector.
