 Our History

Our story of solar installation begins nearly four decades ago, as Paradise Power Company, in 1979. Michael (Micha) Weinman, an electrical engineer, began using solar for off-grid sustainable living for his family at the Lama Foundation in Taos County, New Mexico.  He went on to install a solar electric system for KTAOS, the world’s first solar powered radio station, and work with Earthship Biotecture to create off-grid systems for the Taos Earthship Community.  Years later, the company is now in the hands of Daniel Weinman, Michael’s son. As technology has progressed, so has Daniel’s vision for Paradise Power, thus PPC (Paradise Power Company) Solar was born. Believing in the technology and drawing off of years of experience, PPC Solar continues to provide high quality off-grid and grid-tie photovoltaic systems for homeowners, businesses, schools, and utility clients.
