About the Raven Knight Project Team

Raven Knight is focussed on achieving sustainability for all. The company's main goal is to deliver a solid project that showcases the technology available through Raven Knight with the Sustainability Initiative. The project will be launched August 1, 2012 or before and it can be found at www.sustainabilityinitiative.org. The initiative will develop an affordable water and energy independent home to be used for affordable housing. It will incorporate the water recycling system that has been under development by Mahaffey Innovative Technologies, solar, atmospheric water generation, waste to energy through the use of a household gasifier, geothermal power, metering and much more.

Raven Knight offers water consulting services and feasibility services through its partners which provide complete analysis and needs testing prior to deployment of industrial or municipal technology. This results in significant savings and deployment of correct technology to suit your application. Our needs analysis determines exactly the system that you will need to treat the specific type of water for your project, whether it be a desalination project, water treatment plant treating water originating from surface water or well water, as well as waste water sources including human, animal or various brine waters from a multitude of industries. We aim to have no discharge of any environmental contaminates and have focused on identifying tested yet leading edge technologies to recycle waste components into recovered products.

Dave Mahaffey of Mahaffey ITI has been involved in waste water for over 40 years. He is the owner also of Action Pumping in Yucca Valley, California. Thirty years ago he was instrumental in the approval of California’s Grey Water Recovery Legislation. He has built numerous grey water, sub-irrigation systems in the High Desert area.

Raven Knight aims to provide solid solutions for the transformation of municipal solid waste and biomass to energy and/or biogas.

We are currently working with cutting edge technology providers to deliver proven, reliable equipment for international projects. Our technology is manufactured in the USA. We aim to provide comprehensive solutions for Municipal Solid Waste, tires and other wastes including pre-treatment utilizing Materials Recovery Facilities and waste shredding; waste processing using tested, proven and available pyrolysis equipment; and synthetic gas production and/or electricity production.

Our goal is to provide real solutions, in a timely manner that enable all involved to win financially and environmentally.

It has been difficult to identify and test reliable technology. Currently we are working with several developers to further test and prove their equipment.

Waste to Energy is the process of creating energy in the form of electricity, synthetic fuels or heat from the combustion, gasification or pyrolysis/thermal distillation of waste source.  WTE is a form of energy recovery. WTE processes produce electricity  or produce a combustible fuel commodity, such as methane, methanol, ethanol or synthetic fuels.

What is often ignored is the pre-treatment of the material and the tertiary conversion technology that takes the syngas or steam and produces fuel or electrical power. Raven Knight works with suppliers and developers of combustion technologies and also thermal distillation/pyrolysis and gasification technologies, as well as pre-treatment technologies providing sorting and preparation of the materials and Fischer Tropsch developers and turbine manufacturers to produce fuel and electricity.
