SOLAR ENERGY (PV)

With SunPower’s Maxeon cell technology, we can engineer systems with 44% more watts per sq. ft. than conventional solar arrays. Our MPPPT charge controllers can add 20%-30% more daily production over conventional PWM charge devices with any solar panel technology.  Sized correctly, with full consideration to daily watt-per-hour requirements, it is possible to enjoy all your onboard amenities without reliance on an engine or generator. Current federal legislation for US citizens allows yacht owners to enjoy a 30% Investment Tax Credit for the total cost of a complete solar system, including labor.

WIND TURBINES

The new Leading Edge turbines are built to survive the rigors of open ocean crossing and mountain top communications systems.  You will be able to enjoy quiet power production 24-hours a day in winds above six knots, with an electrical shut down switch mounted inside. Full charge control can be configured for the battery type onboard.

ALTERNATORS

Balmar’s high-output alternators will be the most powerful charge source on board your vessel or coach.  If sized properly, with temperature sensing and processor control, you can bring even the biggest house battery bank up to full charge in a short period of time without stressing the batteries. For over 30 years Balmar has been the most respected alternator of its kind. We can provide Balmar installation packages for most any engine model.

INVERTER / CHARGERS

Maximize the longevity of your battery bank through optimal charge management while enduring the wide range of harsh conditions that can be found off the road, on the highway or in a marine environment.  We offer a line of chargers, inverters and inverter/chargers that feature the latest technologies in programmable charge profiles optimizing and protecting any of the new battery technologies. Experience state-of-the-art nano-second switch over to full sine wave power with minimal harmonic distortion. Our inverter/chargers can be in battery charge mode and act as an instantaneous back-up AC power or stand-by for on demand loads.

GENERATORS

Northern Lights Generator M773LW3Generators are essential for boats or RV’s requiring AC power with KW capacities, beyond inverters, to support ongoing loads associated with utility systems.  We specialize in marine diesel generators, such as Northern Lights and Fisher Panda that have a well-established reputation for robustness and performance. Our generators are available with optional sound shields to keep noise to a minimum while allowing for easy access through maintenance ports.

BATTERIES

The heart of any sustainable power system, your battery bank eliminates the need for ongoing access to municipal, generator or alternator power support.  We offer AGM (absorbed glass matt), Gel, Flooded and Lithium batteries and can assist to find the right fit for the demands of your adventure lifestyle. We will help you understand your daily watt-per-hour load and the period of time batteries need to support these loads without charge, normally 24 hours. All of our batteries are designed to provide deep cycle autonomy in-between charge periods. Since internal cell deterioration begins with discharges below 50%, we will design your system bank size accordingly.
