Sebert Oil Company is a family-owned supplier of gasoline, diesel fuel, propane and lubricants, serving home, farm and industrial customers.  When Dwight Sebert came back to DeKalb County after serving in WWII, he had an idea of providing service to people. In 1947, he was offered a position as an agent with the Standard Oil Co. in the Butler area.  In 1975, Standard Oil Co. became Amoco and Seberts role changed from an agent to jobber. At that time, Seberts son Mike and son-in-law Rick Everhart joined the business, which became known as Sebert Oil Co. Sebert Oil sold gasoline, diesel fuel and lubricants to farming and industrial clients and fuel oil for home heating. In 1994, Sebert Oil expanded its product lines to include propane as a home heating fuel.  In 2008, Sebert Oil added Mike Camp as its propane delivery driver and Randy Sebert as its gasoline and fuel oil delivery driver. Randy represents the third generation in the business. Brenda Sebert and Kelly Camp work in the office and are available to answer questions and assist customers.  With the many mergers throughout the industry, familiar names such as Standard and Amoco and other suppliers have been bought up and have faded into memory. Amoco is now part of BP, but Sebert Oil has survived to the present day, with pride in the fact it has served DeKalb County residents and the surrounding area continuously since 1947.  Sebert Oil offers customers the best products available, including the new ethanol gasolines and biodiesel fuels. The companys most important asset, however, is its service.  Sebert Oil was established on the premise of offering quality service to its customers. Fuel is fuel, but friendly customer service and on-time deliveries are priceless.
