In 1998, Richard Becktel partnered with Frank Paul Greinke to develop a strategic business model focusing on the Southern California wholesale lubricant market. As the company grew so did its geographic footprint. Richard and his team sought to expand both the organizations product offerings and services all the while remaining true to their family-run and operated commitment. Since then, SCL has grown to become the markets leading distribution and logistics company. Our customers throughout California, many of whom have been with us since our infancy, represent a wide variety of industry sectors, ranging from automotive to aviation, transportation, construction and manufacturing.

On-Site Fueling

There are a number of reasons why construction companies or fleets may elect to go with on-site fueling rather than filling their own units. Sometimes construction sites are far away from the nearest gas station, and other times the slow flow of commercial gas stations takes valuable time away from the project. At SCL, we even help customers whose schedules are too time-sensitive to risk going for fuel in surrounding traffic. On-site fueling also gives companies more control when it comes to monitoring costs. Ordering the right amount of fuel at the right time keeps you and your equipment on the move.

Oil Analysis

Oil analysis is used to determine how specific products, most often in the trucking and industrial manufacturing industries, are performing after a period of use and how maintenance schedules should be adjusted once results are evaluated.

Features 

Fleet owners, heavy equipment operators and industrial technicians frequently change component fluids in an effort to boost performance and protect the integrity of their engines. Oftentimes, they dispose of expensive products prematurely or even worse, continue operating with underperforming and outdated fluids. Oil analysis evaluates how effective that new or existing product is when it comes to your vehicles, and if everything is working as it should. Ideally, after 3,000 miles, for example, you want your oil to have the same chemical makeup as the virgin product you started with. In oil analysis, samples are benchmarked against virgin product specifications to determine areas of degradation or concern. The results will evaluate whether current practices will lead to unwanted deposits or shorter time intervals between required services, which ultimately means higher costs. Although other companies provide oil analysis , they often leave customers to interpret results themselves and, if necessary, find their own solutions.
