Take advantage of the Federal Investment Tax Credit
The federal investment tax credit (ITC) for solar was extended for 6 more years at the end of 2015. This means that if you purchase your system or finance it through a loan, you will be eligible for 30% of your system costs to be credited directly against what you owe in taxes.
