At the end of April this year, 2015 Tom Bishop retired and dissolved Sunelco, The Sun Electric Company, a former Montana Corporation. When Tom dissolved the company he sold all the inventory and closed the catalog store and warehouse.

Dan and Becky Brandborg who dreamed up the Sunelco name and opened the doors 30 years ago purchased the Sunelco name.

Dan has been working with SBS Solar located in Missoula, MT. In December of 2014, the owners of this company sold the company to Dan and Becky and they then moved this company to their farm in Hamilton, MT .

Our focus today is somewhat different than the Sunelco of the past. We are now a regional company serving primarily Western Montana designing residential, commercial and water pumping systems. We are no longer doing mail order catalog sales and do not stock the variety of small components as Tom did in the past.

Combining the two companies is our goal. We are changing the name to Sunelco, SBS Solar over the next few months.
