In business since 1956, Superior Gas Service Inc. has a large network of suppliers ensuring your home or business will be warm through Wisconsins toughest winters.Superior Gas Service Inc was founded in June 1956 by Clarence Mitten Sr., Herman Kaufman, Donald Tremelling, Henry Maurer, and Clarence Mitten Jr. Our first bulk delivery truck was a 1955 Dodge. The manager, Willard Anderson, had little competition at the time, so with the help of some of the h eating companies and appliance dealers the company grew. Many people were converting from fuel oil to propane at this time. Over the years the stock of Superior Gas Service Inc has been passed down from generation to generation. The Mitten family has had 4 generations on our board of directors to date. The family owned business still has the same values and practices as we did in 1956. Our once small business has turned into the largest locally owned and operated propane dealer in our area. We service over 2500 customers and we are still growing because of the close ties with the local heating contractors, appliance dealers, and builders.
Services
- We deliver forklift cylinders to local businesses in Marshfield and surrounding areas every Tuesday. We also fill forklift cylinders at our plant for your convince.
- We deliver 100# cylinders to residential and commercial customers on a monthly basis. We also fill 100# cylinders at our plant for your convince.
- We fill all cylinders at our plant during our operating hours. We also fill RV campers and all vehicles that run on propane during our normal business hours.
- Superior Gas will set a tank on your property which includes the tank bases, and regulator on the tank. We will also install the regulator on the house and bury the line from the tank to the house, which the customer will be responsible for. We also will do a full system “leak” check to make sure your property is safe.
- Superior Gas has a pre buy programs, budget plans, keep fill services, and will call services. We service up to a 50 miles radius of Marshfield. We service all residential, commercial and all agricultural customers.
