Our Mission

The Joint Venture Partners are in control of all major decisions including the addition of new partners and how to proceed with the operations of the wells thru drill, test and completion. Swan Energy is the Managing Joint Venturer and is accountable to the partners. If the partners are not satisfied with our performance, then they can replace us with a simple majority vote of the partnership.

Our business model tries to mitigate the risks by providing partners a fixed price contract. Our partners know exactly what they are committed to financially. Any budget overruns for drilling, testing or completion are Swans obligation, not the obligation of the Joint Venture Partners.Swan works tirelessly to identify and act on the best possible oil and gas opportunities. Our track record is clear as evidenced by the number of successful wells we have participated in in Weld County, Colorado and in McClain County, Oklahoma.

Colorado
The Denver Basin, sometimes also called the Julesburg Basin, or Denver-Julesburg Basin (after Julesburg, Colorado), or the D-J Basin, is a geologic structural basin centered in eastern Colorado and extending into southeast Wyoming, western Nebraska, and western Kansas.

The primary oil and gas play in the DJ Basin is The Wattenberg Field, which is one of the largest oil and natural gas deposits in the United States, located just north of the Denver metropolitan area. The field has produced more than 4.0 trillion cubic feet (TCF) of natural gas. In 2007, the field made 11 million barrels of oil and 170 billion cubic feet (BCF) of gas from more than 14,000 wells, making it the 9th largest source of natural gas in the United States.Swan Energy is participating in over 100 wells in Colorado in 2014 and will operate its first Pad on the Swank acreage located just southeast of Hudson, Colorado. Swan Energy’s affiliates will control the workflow and will plan the drilling, completion, fracture treatments and every other aspect of getting the wells in production. This will provide Swan Energy’s joint venture partners with greatly increased access to data and will expedite the revenue process.
