Our History

TRR was founded in 2016 with an initial capital investment from NGP to pursue Delaware basin leasehold acquisition. Over the course of 2017, we grew the company asset base to over 20,000 acres and 1000 bopd. After establishing our leasehold position in southeast New Mexico in Lea and Eddy Counties, we initiated our drilling program in 2018 to begin development of the assets. Today, our acreage position is greater than 27,500 net acres, our average net operated daily production is in excess of 30,000 boepd, and we are currently running a four-rig development program to accelerate our growth and establish Tap Rock as one of the premier private companies in the greater Permian Basin.
