FACILITIES
We operate in Vancouver, Washington at the Columbia Business Center in Building 40, Bays 4-14. Our facility features 374,000 square feet of indoor fabrication space and 15 acres of outdoor assembly and fit-up space with access to utilities. Our roll-on/roll-off barge slip on the Columbia River accommodates almost all barge size configuragtions, including ocean-ready barges.
For efficient material handling, each TMF bay is equipped with multiple overhead cranes ranging from 10 to 30 tons, as well as one-ton jib cranes and hoists. Other equipment in the bays includes forklifts, travel lifts, side-beam loaders, hydro cranes, carry-deck cranes, and hydraulic-lift tractors. We also possess 40-ton moving dollies with a hydraulic jacking system to assist in getting completed assemblies safely around our facility.
To meet the demands of projects with aggressive lead times, Thompson can expand our indoor space to adjacent bays (as available).

Our operations are conducted under an ISO 9001: 2008 Quality System. We are able to develop and implement project specific programs geared to satisfy a customer’s special requirements. We offer a full range of pre-qualified procedures to work with the following materials:

ON-SITE COATINGS DEPARTMENT
Our Coatings Department (AISC – P1 Endorsed) is considered one of the finest of its kind on the West Coast. Our facility includes two sandblasting rooms adjacent to our dedicated paint bay. We also can expand our climate-controlled area to paint extremely large projects, or to handle several projects simultaneously.
