TruSouth Oil, founded in 2006 recently completed construction of its state of the art blending and packaging facility here in Shreveport, LA. The management of TruSouth Oil has long standing experience in the blending and packaging industry and we are entering the market place with a full complement of high quality products backed by a commitment to outstanding customer service.  The TruSouth team is guided by the former head of Specialty Oil Company, prior to its sale to Quaker State Corporation in 1996. Over the course of 20 years, Specialty grew to become the nations largest privately held blending and packaging operation servicing customers in all 50 states and overseas.

In early 2007 TruSouth Oil opened its state of the art blending and packaging facility in Shreveport Louisiana. The innovators at TruSouth have decades of experience in lubricants and specialty oil business and we are committed to offering the highest quality products at competitive prices.

Laboratory Services

Quality control is the cornerstone of manufacturing at TruSouth. TruSouth maintains an onsite laboratory that is overseen by a full-time chemist. All incoming and outgoing materials are tested to back-up TruSouth’s high quality standards. A retain of product is kept for 6 months from the incoming raw material as well as each batch blended to ensure superior product quality. TruSouth’s chemist conducts a certificate of analysis on each retain. A number of different tests are then run on each batch to guarantee the quality of TruSouth’s products. The different tests assess viscosity, density, color, solidity and flammability. Results of the tests are included in the certificate of analysis and in the product spec sheets.

Tank Farm, Loading and Unloading Dock

TruSouth’s strategic location is in close proximity to several major interstates. We have dual loading/unloading racks as well as a dedicated rail spur—we are within half a mile of the Port of Shreveport-Bossier allowing us excellent access to barge and container transport. TruSouth’s facility also has convenient railway access. Our 42 onsite tanks can currently accommodate 1.25 million gallon of fluids. Like the plant and warehouse, the tank farm boasts the newest automated technology from position valves to inventory monitoring. Each tank has its own dedicated source & destination to ensure that fluids are not co-mingled.

Blending & Packaging Capabilities

Speed, accuracy and efficiency are vital in the manufacturing industry. TruSouth has made a significant capital investment in new, high speed filling and support equipment allowing for super efficient, precision operations. The computerized manufacturing and packaging systems are versatile too - we package container sizes ranging from 8 ounces to 55 gallon drums.
