Last year, in our first Report, we outlined the initiatives we planned to undertake to live our core values. In 2015, we made significant achievements in pursuit of these goals, including:
  • rolling out our Vendor Compliance Policy,
  • finalizing our new, lower impact packaging,
  • investing in our employees through a new Professional Development Policy,
  • prioritizing a reduction of paper waste,
  • tracking and monitoring our carbon emissions,
  • achieving RoHS compliance - certifying that our wind turbines do not contain any hazardous substances.
    • We look forward to expanding our programs as we grow UGE into a company that not only leads the market for renewable energy, but exemplifies sustainable best practices across our value chain. In the coming year, we look forward to furthering our commitments by formalizing our internal sustainability training, reviewing the criteria for supplier standards, and ensuring transparency in all of our processes.
