- Reporting ALL Incidents (including Spills) and Near-Miss events, so that investigations can be conducted and corrective action can be taken..
- Continuous improvement of our Total Recordable Incident Rate (TRIR).
- Using environmentally sound practices and other protections for the environment.
- Auditing of our operations and equipment, including contractors/subcontractors.
- Sharing safety/environmental information and lessons learned with all personnel
- Requiring the use of proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required by the nature of the work and/or as specific regulations
- A zero-tolerance policy with regard to Substance Abuse.
- Demonstrated leadership and management commitment to all aspects.
- Assurance that all personnel performing work at a Upstream facility are granted Stop Work Authority and that they are expected to use it.
UPSTREAM STRATEGY INCREASE PRODUCTION & RESERVES
The Company’s strategy is to profitably increase production and reserves through conventional drilling and development of its inventory of low risk organic prospects, while targeting future growth opportunities in and around its current core areas. Upstream is actively pursuing property acquisitions in the shallow state and federal waters in the Gulf of Mexico as well as onshore along the Louisiana and Texas Gulf Coast. With strong base production, additional organic opportunities, ability to lower costs, and a debt-free balance sheet, Upstream is well positioned to capitalize on the current opportunities in the energy industry.
