Wilson Oil & Propane is a full-service, family-owned home comfort company that has been serving the residents of southeastern Pennsylvania since 1926. History
It all started on September 20, 1926, when we received our first order. Back then our main product was coal, which was a popular fuel for many homes and businesses. In 1931 when heating oil came along, Wilson Oil was an “early adopter,” offering this new fuel to our customers. We built our first oil terminal in 1942 using old railroad tank cars.

Wilson was once again “ahead of the curve” when we expanded into the air conditioning business in 1945. Since then we have watched as HVAC systems have become more energy efficient and over the years we have installed thousands of AC systems throughout southeastern PA.We were one of the first oil companies in the area to install two-way radios in our service and fuel delivery trucks in 1961. Another key milestone was the construction of a 100,000-gallon oil terminal. From the 1970s through the 1990s Wilson was always on the lookout for smaller companies that shared our commitment to customer service, and we made a number of important acquisitions that served to expand not only our customer base, but our team of experts as well.

In 1996, Betsy and David OConnell become the third generation to join the company. Since then Wilson has been engaged in ongoing efforts to enhance our services and product offerings, instituting our Quality Check program to ensure customer satisfaction and expanding into propane in 2008.As we move into the twenty-first century, we continue to embrace new technology to better serve our customers. We were one of the first companies in our area to computerize our delivery fleet and we hold the distinction of being the first company in the area that enabled our customers to have instant online access to their accounts.All of the people who work at Wilson Oil & Propane are 100% committed to providing excellent service, and we will continue to do everything we can to make your home a more comfortable place to live.
