Borealis GeoPower is a team comprised of world-class geoscientists, engineers, and project developers. We have come together to enable geothermal power production to become a major player in the Canadian power market.

We analyze and assess geothermal energy resources according to the Canadian Geothermal Code for Public Reporting. This code provides a minimum set of requirements for the public reporting of exploration results, geothermal resources and geothermal reserves. All of Borealis GeoPower's projects follow this reporting code.

Borealis GeoPower’s primary focus is developing Canadian ‘green field’ and ‘brown field’ geothermal energy properties. We provide the core capability to maximize the value inherent in geothermal resources. Our diverse combination of surface and subsurface skills, previous development experience, and reservoir back-analysis provides a risk-minimizing basis provides the greatest possible value to you- the resource owner. Our mission is to reduce your power price, provide low-cost process heat, reduce or eliminate green house gas (GHG) emissions and minimize your physical footprint.

Borealis also manages developing projects by identifying key aspects of geothermal project potential. We construct a thorough resource development strategy and carry out subsurface reservoir modeling. The screening model that we have developed for exploration and mapping involves aspects of both sub-surface (geological, down-hole engineering et al.) and surface (economics, market, infrastructure, et al.) analysis.  Borealis is then equipped to provide a complete picture of any property’s quality as well as being able to differentiate between alternative assets and development paths.  With a focused mandate on a smaller number of projects, Borealis is able to move forward with the necessary research and development to bring your project toward the end goal of renewable power production.
