Diamond Energy Services was established in 1996 and is a market leader in providing service rigs, coiled tubing units to both the oil and natural gas sectors in south and West Central Saskatchewan, and Alberta. Diamond’s head office is located in Swift Current, Saskatchewan where the company has large welding, fabrication and mechanical shops. Diamond has an additional office in West Central Saskatchewan (Cut Knife and Unity).Diamond provides service throughout the life cycle of a well from completion of a newly drilled well to abandonment of a depleted well. The company has three divisions that provide it with exposure to both the oil and natural gas sector of the industry.

• The service rig division operates 21 oil and gas servicing rigs in Saskatchewan and Alberta from bases in Swift Current, Shaunavon and West Central Saskatchewan.
• The Canadian coiled tubing division operates 3 coiled tubing units in Saskatchewan and Alberta from bases in Medicine Hat and Swift Current.

The operating company, when acting as prime contractor, is responsible for coordination and general supervision of all activities at the work site, including activities carried out by contractors, sub-contractors, service companies and suppliers.  While all parties have a responsibility to promote worker safety, the operating company recognizes its leadership role in promoting worker health and safety on the basis that it is the greatest power to influence work site situations.  It is the responsibility of workers and employers to refuse to perform unsafe work practices.Activities will be conducted on the basis that safety of all personnel is of vital importance, whether those personnel are employed by an operating company, a contractor, a sub-contractor, a service company or a supplier.The process of selecting contractors, sub-contractors, service companies and suppliers, and the administration of contracts, will include recognition based on good safety performance.  Support and recognition based on good safety performance will also be provided by all employers to their employees. The operating company, in cooperation with service companies within the industry, will promote methods and practices that have potential for improving safety performance.
