H&G Directional Drilling Ltd. is a full-service horizontal directional drilling (HDD) company serving western Canada. Our head office is located in the heart of oil country at Virden, Manitoba. The company was formed on July 15, 2013 with the acquisition of Pinnacle Directional Drilling Ltd., a small company located in southwestern Manitoba. The founding principals are John Galvin (President) and Darwin Williams (Vice-President).  John Galvin – President John is the President of Galvin Farms Ltd., a large grain farm operation located in western Manitoba. John was looking to diversify his holdings and discovered there was demand for horizontal directional drilling. John’s strong mechanical aptitude and business savvy has helped H&G Directional Drilling Ltd. become the drilling company of choice in the industry.  Darwin Williams – Vice President Darwin is the President of D.B. Higginbotham Electric Ltd. which offers full-service electrical and line locating services for residential, commercial as well as oil field applications. Darwin, already being well versed in the oil industry, shared John’s passion to provide top-notch directional drilling services to western Canada. www.higgelec.com Our biggest target market area is the oil industry but we have been diversifying into the following markets; fiber, agricultural applications for power, water/sewer, telecommunications (fiber/copper).

We offer directional drilling services, water hauling, back hoe and track hoe excavation, fiber optic installation, and project management. We take great pride in the quality and design of our equipment and there is a good reason for this. We take the raw unit from the manufacturer and modify it to suit our needs and the needs of our clients.
