WestCo Energy Services is an Aboriginal owned Construction and Energy Service Company based in Stony Plain, Alberta, with a focus on servicing the Oil & Gas, Electric Utility and Petrochemical industries throughout Western Canada.  We utilize qualified professionals, technicians and tradesmen to provide such services as consulting, estimating, project management, fabrication, quality control, commissioning, maintenance, and shut-down activities. This mandate starts with the owners of the company and flows to all employees in the organization.  WestCo’s adherence to an industry-accepted, fully integrated quality assurance system has provides our customers with their requirements for cost-effective, safe and reliable services.  Our quality control personnel work closely with the WestCo’s construction teams and our clients to ensure that all projects are carried out in accordance with our quality control manual, the client´s specifications, and the relevant jurisdiction´s Act and Regulations.  WestCo’s QC department develops and maintains the documents, specifications and manuals which detail the quality control procedures throughout the organization. The WestCo QC manual identifies the following procedures which support our standard turnover packages: Contract Review, Document Control, Material Control, Examination and Inspection Program, Welding, Non-Conformance, Measuring and Testing Equipment, Heat Treatment, Non–Destructive Examination, Pressure Tests, Record Retention, Audits and Training.  WestCo” holds an ABSA registered AQP, and is authorized to “Construct, Repair/Alter ASME B31.3 Process Piping” and is certified by the Canadian Welding Bureau to CSA Standard 47.1 “Certification of Companies for Fusion Welding of Steel.

Successful projects are typically supported by proven processes. Quality control procedures that are current and maintained regularly will help ensure projects can be closed quickly with detailed turnover documentation in a timely fashion.  WestCo Energy Services is committed to ensure current and timely QC documentation is maintained while maintaining the fundamentals of project management.

Our project controls system and processes, and our document control systems provide us with the tools to track and report project progress and potential issues in a timely fashion. Our commitment to these technologies and processes enables our project teams to keep a keen eye on all project resources, giving them the power to make timely and effective decisions and implement corrective actions as required.

Our Leading Labour Force

WestCo Energy Services has developed strategic alliances with First Nation Communities to help ensure we attract local labour to the extent possible. Our leadership team has developed a substantial labour following throughout their tenure and we continue to make strategic investments in our Human Resources department. We understand and appreciate our success is highly dependent on our labour force and we take it very seriously. We continuously maintain a strong database of accredited trades people and project team members. Many key employees are identified and retained to ensure the consistency of our service and processes.
