SEATTLE (Oil Monster): The flow of Russian crude oil to Hungary and Slovakia via the Druzhba pipeline came to a halt. The suspension is attributed to attacks by Ukraine on a portion of the pipeline, said Hungary's Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto.
Szijjarto called the Ukrainian attack "ludicrous and unacceptable." He affirmed that Russian Deputy Energy Minister Pavel Sorokin had informed him that the transformer station restoration project was underway.

It should be mentioned that even after Russia invaded Ukraine, Hungary has continued to rely on Russian oil, in contrast to other EU countries. Additionally, the Druzhba pipeline, which passes via Belarus and Ukraine, is used to import the majority of Russia's crude oil. According to data, Hungary received approximately 95,000 barrels of oil per day from Russia via the pipeline in 2024.
According to Robert "Madyar" Brovdi, Head of Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces, the 14th Regiment of the Unmanned Systems Unit attacked the Nikolskoye oil pumping station in the Tambov region, causing the pipeline's functioning to come to a halt. It should be mentioned that Ukraine has been attempting to stop Russia's income by attacking Russian energy infrastructure.
Slovak pipeline operator Transpetrol also verified the halt of oil supply to Slovakia.
