SEATTLE (Oil Monster): Centrica Energy and Tourmaline Oil Corp. have expanded their long-term natural gas supply agreement This will help the British energy company to add new volumes to strengthen its future liquefied natural gas (LNG) portfolio, thus improving access to global gas markets.
Under the expanded arrangement, Tourmaline will deliver an additional 30,000 million British thermal units (MMBtu) of natural gas per day to Centrica Energy from 2031 through 2038.
The additional volumes build on an agreement announced in November 2025, under which Canada's largest natural gas producer committed to supply 50,000 MMBtu per day beginning in 2028 for a ten-year period.
The expanded supply will be indexed to the Title Transfer Facility (TTF), Europe's benchmark natural gas trading hub. The pricing structure links deliveries to a major regional benchmark while supporting long-term commercial planning.
Centrica Energy said the long-term supply agreement would reinforce its strategy of developing a diversified LNG portfolio and managing exposure to future market price fluctuations.
Tourmaline Chairman and CEO Mike Rose noted that the company is pleased to build on its relationship with Centrica through the expanded agreement. Furthermore, he stated the expanded partnership supports the company's efforts to diversify its markets and establish itself as a reliable Canadian natural gas supplier to international customers.
