SEATTLE (Oil Monster): A ruptured pipeline has resulted in a crude oil spill off the coast of Sriracha in Thailand’s Chonburi Province.

During heavy weather, a supertanker registered in Singapore was discharging oil at the SBM-2 oil terminal when the tragedy happened. Strong gusts and high waves caused the pipeline to burst. Between 10,000 and 20,000 liters of crude oil escaped over the course of the almost 30-minute breach. Thai Oil Public Company Limited is in charge of running the facility.
