Ukrainian Missiles and Drones Attach Russia’s Unecha Oil Pumping Station

SEATTLE (Oil Monster): The commander of Ukraine’s unmanned systems forces claimed that the country’s military forces have hit Russian Unecha oil pumping station, which happens to be a critical component of that country’s oil transportation to European countries via the Druzhba oil pipeline.

Robert Brovdi, commander of Ukraine’s unmanned systems forces, posted a video on Telegram messenger showing a large fire at a facility. In the meantime, Russian regional governor Alexander Bogomaz confirmed that an energy facility at Unecha had caught fire as a result of Ukrainian missile and drone attacks. However, the blaze has been extinguished, he added.

Both Russia and Ukraine have intensified attacks on each other’s energy infrastructure over the past few weeks. Kyiv damaged several Rusian oil refineries, while Russia also have been firing rockets at Ukraine’s gas infrastructure, in an attempt to reduce Ukraine’s gas import capabilities.

The repeated attacks by Ukraine on the Druzhba pipeline has resulted in supply disruptions to European countries, especially to Hungary and Slovakia, which unlike other European countries, depends mainly on Russian oil supplies.
