SEATTLE (Oil Monster): BP and Eni's joint venture, Azule Energy, announced a significant gas discovery off the coast of Angola. It is predicted that the discovery will yield around 100 million barrels of condensate and 28.3 billion cubic meters of natural gas.
The Gajajeira-01 wildcat well, located in Block 1/14 in the Lower Congo Basin of Angola, made the finding. The National Agency of Petroleum, Gas and Biofuels (ANGP), the state energy regulator, pointed out that the discovery was located in a region that had no prior history of producing hydrocarbons.
