Nine trucks carrying insulated line pipe were delivered from the coating plant located in Nzenga, Tanzania's Tabora Region. China Petroleum Pipeline Engineering Co. Ltd. (CPP), the project's construction contractor, anticipates that the pipeline will be laid in Uganda following the shipment's arrival. It should be mentioned that by the end of 2025, the pipeline's developers hope to export its first barrels of crude oil.

In the meanwhile, the project is on schedule to achieve its construction and operation dates, according to a statement from EACOP. An important step in the pipeline's development has been reached with the arrival of the first set of pipes. According to Ali Ssekatawa, Director of Legal and Corporate Affairs at the Petroleum Authority of Uganda, the nation's government and its partners are dedicated to completing the construction in the most sustainable and environmentally responsible way possible.

According to Ssekatawa, the civil works for the storage facilities, pipe yards, major camps, and pumping stations have advanced.
