SEATTLE (Oil Monster): The final investment decisions (FIDs) for two significant gas transmission projects have been announced by Enbridge, a leading energy infrastructure business in North America. It is anticipated that the development of these projects—the Eiger Express Pipeline (Eiger) through the Matterhorn joint venture and the Algonquin Reliable Affordable Resilient Enhancement Project (AGT Enhancement) in the Northeastern United States—will further increase the reliability of American supplies.
The goal of the AGT Enhancement Project is to make natural gas more dependable, affordable, and accessible for the Local Distribution Company's current clients in the Northeastern United States. The project is expected to be finished in 2029 and will provide an additional 75 million cubic feet of natural gas per day under long-term agreements.

According to Cynthia Hansen, Enbridge's President of Gas Transmission and Executive Vice President, the changes will support the company's growth trajectory until the end of the current decade. According to Hansen, it will also give its stakeholders more visibility over the long run.
