SEATTLE (Oil Monster): Golden Pass LNG, a joint venture between QatarEnergy and ExxonMobil, has successfully shipped its first liquefied natural gas (LNG) cargo from its export terminal in Sabine Pass, marking a major milestone toward full-scale operations.
The initial export signals the startup phase of the Texas-based terminal, which is expected to produce approximately 18 million tonnes of LNG annually once fully operational. The project remains under development, with additional liquefaction units—Train 2 and Train 3—scheduled to come online after stable operations are achieved at Train 1.
