Origin Energy Lets Contract for Angry Jungle Gas Field

SEATTLE (Oil Monster): Origin Energy Ltd. has let a front-end engineering and design (FEED) contract to Worley for a new natural gas compression station in Angry Jungle gas field, Queensland, Australia.

Angry Jungle is a joint venture run by multiple producers within Surat basin. During the FEED phase Worley will support the engineering design of the infrastructure needed to allow Australia Pacific LNG (APLNG) to capitalize on its share of coal seam gas produced within the field, the service provider said.

Angry Jungle project infrastructure includes in-field compression, a low-pressure gathering pipeline, and ancillary services. Worley has been engaged to deliver an initial scope focused on the booster compression facility.

Origin is the upstream operator of Australia Pacific LNG (APLNG).
