SEATTLE (Oil Monster): Leading Polish multinational oil refiner ORLEN has signed a new natural gas supply contract with Ukraine’s Naftogaz. The contract is the result of a commercial cooperation framework signed between ORLEN Group and Naftogaz in March this year.
Over the next few months, ORLEN will provide about 140 million cubic meters of natural gas in accordance with the conditions of the deal. Before being shipped to Ukraine, the gas will be imported from the United States and regasified at the LNG terminal in Swinoujscie.

The two sides have now entered into their fourth supply agreement for 2025. The supply of about 300 million cubic meters of gas had been covered by the three contracts that came before. Ukraine's energy security will be strengthened by the new contract, which will assist ensure a steady supply of gas in the months leading up to the heating season.
The new contract is considered crucial as it will ensure deliveries during the summer period, where replenishment of storage facilities is considered important. Moreover, this will enhance Ukraine’s energy security and resilience amid ongoing clashes with Russia. Sergii Koretskyi, CEO of Naftogaz welcomed the signing of an additional contract for supply of American LNG.
The Polish energy giant had recently ended its final contract for supplies of Russian crude oil.
