Venture Global Expands China Gas LNG Deal to 2.5 MTPA
Venture Global and China Gas Holdings have signed a new 20-year LNG supply agreement covering 0.5 million tonnes per annum beginning in 2030, increasing China Gas’ total contracted purchases from Venture Global to 2.5 MTPA.

Venture Global and China Gas Expand LNG Partnership
MONTREAL (Oil Monster): U.S. LNG exporter Venture Global and China Gas Holdings have expanded their long-term supply partnership through a new 20-year Sales and Purchase Agreement.
Under the agreement, Venture Global will supply China Gas with 0.5 million tonnes per annum of U.S. LNG beginning in 2030.
Total Contracted Supply Rises to 2.5 MTPA
The new agreement increases China Gas’ total long-term contracted purchases from Venture Global to 2.5 MTPA across multiple 20-year agreements.
The companies previously signed long-term LNG agreements covering supply from Venture Global’s Louisiana projects.
Venture Global Targets Growing Chinese Energy Demand
Venture Global CEO Mike Sabel said the expanded partnership will help supply China’s growing energy needs with U.S. LNG produced across the company’s Louisiana projects.
China Gas Chairman and President Liu Ming Hui said the new agreement strengthens the companies’ long-standing relationship and supports China Gas’ efforts to develop an international energy trading platform connecting global supply with growing demand.
Venture Global Continues LNG Expansion
Venture Global has more than 100 MTPA of LNG capacity in production, under construction or in development.
Its Louisiana portfolio includes Calcasieu Pass, Plaquemines LNG and CP2 LNG. The company is also developing carbon capture and sequestration projects at its LNG facilities.
China Gas Serves Multiple Customer Segments
China Gas operates an integrated energy business serving residential, commercial and industrial customers across China.
