Woodside Energy Posted Subdued Revenue in Q1 2025

SEATTLE (Oil Monster): In the first quarter of 2025, Woodside Energy Group Ltd. reported a decline in revenue. At $3.32 billion, the company's revenue decreased 5% over the previous quarter. However, compared to the same quarter last year, the revenue increased by 13%.

Lower production and declining oil-linked prices were the primary causes of the sequential revenue loss. Revenues increased year over year in the first quarter of this year due to higher gas hub-linked prices and more production from the Sangomar field offshore Senegal.

In the first quarter of 2025, the company's quarterly output was 49.1 million barrels of oil equivalent (MMboe), which was 4% less than the previous quarter. This was mostly because of unanticipated outages at Pluto LNG and weather-related affects at North West Shelf LNG. Higher output at Atlantis and Shenzi somewhat offset them. The production increased by 9% year over year.

1.84 billion standard cubic feet per day (Bscfd) of gas were produced, a 4% quarterly and 5% annual decrease. At the same time, 223,000 barrels per day (bpd) of liquids were produced.

In Q1 2025, sales came to 50.2 MMboe, which was 10% more than in Q1 2024 but down 7% for the period.
