SEATTLE (Oil Monster): Delivering first gas at 10 renewable natural gas (RNG) projects around the Midwest region of the United States is a significant milestone for Brightmark RNG Holdings, a joint venture between Chevron USA and Brightmark Fund Holdings, a subsidiary of Brightmark LLC. Up to 15 RNG projects are currently owned and run by the JV throughout the region.

With this new milestone, Brightmark is now one of the top three RNG providers in the United States. Over 1.2 million tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent have been reduced so far thanks to Brightmark's RNG circularity centers. Methane gas is extracted from the organic waste collected by the Brightmark plants and converted into RNG for use as fuel for vehicles.
Brightmark's founder and CEO, Bob Powell, commented on the development, saying the company is thrilled to see the projects come online because they would not only boost local economies but also lower methane emissions. Meanwhile, providing the first gas at ten farms is a major milestone, according to Nuray Elci, Vice President, Renewables, Chevron.
